During November 2011, Google was the most-visited Web brand with 174.3 million unique U.S. visitors. The list of Top Brands remained the same as the month before, with the Amazon overtaking Wikipedia as the 8th ranked site by total audience in November, reflecting greater consumer activity during the busy holiday shopping season.

During September 2011 Google was the most visited web brand, with 170 million unique U.S. visitors, and the list of Top Brands remained largely the same as the month before with the Ask Search Network overtaking Apple as the 10th ranked brand in terms of total audience.

Following Sunday’s spike in conversations surrounding the swine flu outbreak, web chatter doubled on Monday, April 27. Nearly four percent of blogs, micro-blogs such as Twitter, web news and forums were related to “swine flu.” Already, by start of business on Tuesday in the U.S., the number had swelled to nearly six percent.

As reports of the swine flu outbreak reached beyond Mexican borders and into the U.S. late last week, the internet has been buzzing furiously about risks, symptoms, and other updates for information. By comparison, the volume of conversations about the epidemic have already exceeded nearly 10 to 1 those surrounding the salmonella and peanut butter scares from earlier this winter… or, to put it in another cultural perspective, the chatter about swine flu even dwarfs that of recent viral media star Susan Boyle.

Google was the top-ranked Web brand in November, drawing more than 127 million unique visitors during the month, Nielsen Online reported Tuesday.  Yahoo! and MSN/Windows Live rounded out the top three, with unique audiences of just over 117 million and 104 million visitors, respectively.

Google was the top-ranked Web brand in October, drawing more than 122 million unique visitors during the month, Nielsen Online reported Wednesday.
Yahoo! and MSN/Windows Live rounded out the top three, with unique audiences of just over 116 million and 102 million visitors, respectively.
