<p>NBC Olympics&#8217; unique audience jumped from 1.39 million visitors on August 7, the day before the Olympics began, to 2.66 million visitors on August 8, the day of the opening ceremony.  On the first day of competition (August 9), NBC Olympics&#8217; unique audience jumped again to 4.0 million visitors.</p>
<p>In comparison, Yahoo Olympic drew 1.43 million unique visitors on August 7, 1.47 million visitors on August 8, and 3.32 million visitors on August 9.</p>
<p>AOL&#8217;s Olympics site ranked third among the most visited U.S.-based Olympics websites, after NBC Olympics and Yahoo Olympics.</p>
