They may have been more people “engaged” with the RNC telecast, but I doubt that will means more are willing to marry what the RNC is pushing. Did Nielson do a followup or even ask if those that were “engaged” felt good about what they’d jsut seen?
I doubt it.

I loathe watching GOP events. The saying “Know thy enemy” was the only reason I watched the McCain + Palin speeches. The whole convention was a parade of Republican claptrap propaganda – one snark-filled speech after another with not one iota of substance among any of them.

Of course there were more TV viewers of the GOP convention. The Dems held theirs in the last week of August before school started when many people were still on vacation and not watching television. And the Repubs held theirs in the week everyone was back from their vacations. It had nothing to do with the which convention was more compelling.
