NBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention claimed the top spot in Nielsen’s ranking of primetime broadcast TV programs for Thursday, September 4.
CBS’s “CSI” and “Big Brother 10″ were ranked second and third, respectively, with almost 7.3 million and 6.6 million average viewers each.

Overall, NBC won the night with an average audience of almost 8.7 million viewers, while CBS took second place with 6.3 million average viewers. Univision and FOX claimed third and fourth places — with more than 5.4 million and 5.2 million average viewers, respectively. ABC followed in fifth place with an average audience of more than 4.6 million viewers.
