For the second consecutive night, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” claimed the top spot in Nielsen’s ranking of primetime broadcast TV programs.
The telecast drew an average audience of more than 10.2 million viewers, while FOX’s “Bones” and ABC’s coverage of the third night of the Republican National Convention were ranked second and third, respectively, with more than 9.7 million and 5.8 million average viewers each.

Overall, NBC won the night with an average audience of just over 10.2 million viewers, while FOX took second place with 9.7 million average viewers. CBS and Univision claimed third and fourth places — with more than 5.3 million and 4.8 million average viewers, respectively. The CW and ABC followed in fifth and sixth places, respectively, with average audiences of more than 4.2 million and 3.5 million viewers.
