Primetime Broadcast Ratings, March 31, 2009

FOX’s “American Idol-Tuesday” was the number one ranked primetime telecast on broadcast TV for Tuesday, March 31, 2009. The program had approximately 24.4 million average viewers.

CBS’s “NCIS” and “The Mentalist” rounded out the top three ranked programs with approximately 17.2 and 17.0 million average viewers.

Overall, FOX won the night with an average audience of almost 19.7 million average viewers. CBS and NBC ranked second & third with approximately 15.6 and 9.0 million average viewers. ABC came in fourth with roughly 8.0 million average viewers while UNI and the CW followed in fifth & sixth with average audiences of roughly 5.0 and 2.2 million.
