Primetime Broadcast Ratings, January 21, 2009

FOX’s “American Idol-Wednesday” and “Lie To Me” were the number one and number three-ranked primetime telecasts on broadcast TV Wednesday, January 21, 2009 with 25.9 and 12.4 million average viewers.

CBS’s “Criminal Minds” was the second ranked primetime telecast on broadcast TV Wednesday evening with approximately 13.8 million average viewers.

Overall, FOX won the night with an average audience of almost 19.1 million viewers,
while CBS took second place with almost 10.8 million average viewers. ABC and NBC
claimed third and fourth places with roughly 10.4 million and 6.1 million average viewers.
UNI and the TEL followed in fifth and sixth places with average audiences of roughly 4.8
million and 1.3 million average viewers, respectively.
