Primetime Broadcast Ratings, April 28, 2009

FOX’s “American Idol-Tuesday” claimed the top slot in Nielsen’s ranking of the top primetime telecasts on broadcast TV for April 28, 2009. The show drew just over 23.3 million average viewers Tuesday evening.

CBS’s “The Mentalist” and “NCIS” ranked second and third with 17.1 and 16.7 million average viewers.

Overall, FOX won the night with an average audience of almost 16.6 million viewers,
while CBS took second place with almost 15.4 million average viewers. NBC and ABC
claimed third and fourth places with roughly 9.7 and 8.0 million average viewers,
respectively. UNI and the CW followed in fifth and sixth places with average
audiences of roughly 4.4 million and 1.8 million average viewers.
