FOX’s “American Idol-Tuesday” claimed the top slot in Nielsen’s ranking of the top primetime telecasts on broadcast TV for April 21, 2009. The show drew just over 24.0 million average viewers Tuesday night.
ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars Results” was the second-ranked program with 14.7 million average viewers while CBS’s “NCIS 9PM Special” rounded out the top three with 12.6 million average viewers.

Overall, FOX won the night with an average audience of almost 17.0 million viewers,
while CBS took second place with almost 10.4 million average viewers. NBC and ABC
claimed third and fourth places with roughly 8.5 and 8.1 million average viewers.
UNI and the CW followed in fifth and sixth places with average audiences of roughly
4.4 million and 2.0 million average viewers.
I find it very difficult to believe that NCIS is not the number ONE TV Show most of the time! I have seen CSI, House and other shows as topping it and as far as I’m concerned there really is no competition. House is just too harsh and mean-spirited as far as I’m concerned. I used to enjoy his show, but when it came down to House only attacking everyone and them going from the main three actors to a a group of doctors I have slowly lost interest in it. When it comes to CSI, I have only watched it once or twice. It holds no lasting interest for me.
These other shows I believe are good for a change, but NCIS is one that you can get something out of nearly every episode! There have been very few episodes that I didn’t absolutely love of NCIS! Keep up the good work, NCIS and I will keep watching you with most of America!
