FOX’s “American Idol-Tuesday” claimed the top slot in Nielsen’s ranking of the top primetime telecasts on broadcast TV for April 14, 2009. The show drew just over 24.4 million average viewers Tuesday night.
ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars Results” was the second-ranked program with 15.2 million average viewers while CBS’s “NCIS” rounded out the top three with 13.6 million average viewers.

Overall, FOX won the night with an average audience of almost 17.6 million viewers,
while CBS took second place with almost 13.0 million average viewers. ABC and NBC
claimed third and fourth places with roughly 8.7 and 8.2 million average viewers.
UNI and the CW followed in fifth and sixth places with average audiences of roughly
4.9 million and 2.1 million average viewers, respectively.
