Another trend we are seeing is the growth of ethnic media. While mainstream media seems to be struggling to stay relevant and viable, ethnic outlets in many communities are stable while new outlets are also being launched. According to a 2009 study by New America Media, ethnic media reaches nearly 60 million people. As the demographic landscape continues to evolve, I believe this media universe will only continue to grow and ethnic media will be the new "mainstream" of tomorrow. As a multicultural marketer, this is an exciting transformation to observe and I think it will affect how marketing campaigns are shaped in the future.
