How are you defining coupon? Traditional newspaper coupon, online print-out, coupon/discount code (no print-out required)? It's also interesting that supermarkets represent the majority of coupon redemption (64%); I'm curious if it suggests an opportunity for them to push online grocery purchases via online coupons.

Loved your column on coupons. As an older American citizen now, I have the time to clip and use coupons.....wow....what a savings....especially when they advertise double up to $2...that really saves on the grocery bill.
Our church is recycling coupons....what we don't use for our own personal use in buying....we clip and sort and send to our servicemen overseas for their families to use and save money. All the ads and what is left after we take the coupons, we recycle to a "newspaper drop station" for them to recycle. If anyone is interested in the coupon for our servicement program....go to ocpnet.org and read about it. I found it to be very interesting and feel we have a wonderful mission to help our servicemen and their families while they are helping us to be free in America. Last month we sent 39,747 coupons to an Air Force Base in Germany for them to use in the PX or Commissary....join us and use those coupons.
