Folks in Kern County might be ready, thought was media is ready to switch. It is costing a bundle in Operation. Those not ready, may end up picking up a low power station instead. KGET 17 UHF, stated they could continue to broadcast, except maybe it should be at low power. A low power uhf station is better then just hd. The transition date stays June 12th, 2009, then allow KGET OR other media to operate at low power til June 12th, 2011. Other's who can not get service may either get a hd converter box, call DirecTV, Dish Network or life-line cable tv. Many state's our prone to tornado's, like Kansas, Tennessees and other states, and band width is important for police, fire, or ambulances, or even special troops. This was spose to happen Feb. 17. Here were putting other lives over such delays. Mainly, these number's here west of New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming.
